【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheconditionsforcarryingoutaxial,constant-amplitude,force-controlledfatiguetestsatambienttemperatureonmetallicspecimens,withoutdeliberatelyintroducedstressconcentrations.Theobjectoftestingistoprovidefatigueinformation,suchastherelationbetweenappliedstressandnumberofcyclestofailureforgivenmaterialsatvariousstressratios.Whiletheform,preparationandtestingofspecimensofcircularandrectangularcross-sectionaredescribed,componenttestingandotherspecializedformsoftestingarenotincludedinthisInternationalStandard.NOTEFatiguetestsonnotchedspecimensarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandardsincetheshapeandsizeofnotchedtestpieceshavenotbeenstandardized.However,fatigue-testproceduresdescribedinthisstandardmaybeappliedtofatiguetestsonnotchedspecimens.
